Profits of a new cookbook will be given to Swindon's Open Door Centre.

On Saturday 4 May, Open Door friend and long time supporter Carol Gibbon will launch her cookbook at the Central Library in Regent Circus.
The Open Door Centre exists to make a positive difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities, enabling members to achieve their highest potential.
The centre does this by providing a range of activities within a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment, and members are involved in every level of decision making about the running of the centre.
Members are encouraged to be independent adults, understanding their rights and choices, in order to become respected, confident, valued members of society.
For the past two years, Carol - with the support of a few of the Open Door members - has been running a cake stall at Swindon market in the town centre, and at the Repair Cafe in Eastcott Community Centre, all to raise funds for The Open Door Centre.
She has raised over £6,000 and now has many regular customers who love her recipes. The cookbook is the result of their enthusiastic support.
The book is a celebration of Carol's grandmother's recipes, and the family stories associated with them.
The 4 May launch at Swindon Central Library in Regent Circus will be at 11am.
There will be an opportunity to sample some of the cakes, and tea and coffee will also be available. The award-winning Open Door choir will be performing, and all are welcome to come along and enjoy the occasion.
