2018 has set a new record for weddings at Grittleton House in The Cotswolds.

The historic manor house is known as one of the ‘best kept secrets’ in The Cotswolds yet more and more bridal parties from far afield are planning their wedding at this venue. Grittleton House is looking forward to a very busy 2018, catering for a wide variety of wedding ceremonies, from simple humanist weddings to  two-day formal and fun wedding parties. The venue’s expert and specialised wedding planners are on-hand throughout with menus designed by Michelin-trained Head Chef Andreas. Grittleton House is a privately owned house. The Shipp family have been in residence for the last 50 years and are  custodians of the house. Vanessa Shipp said: “Family is very important to us, five generations have had the pleasure of enjoying Grittleton House.  It's exciting times for the family and the whole Grittleton team, with lots of new ideas, some redecoration and a great line-up of professionals, 2018 is set to be a very busy year for our full-time events venue. "We have a record number of weddings booked and the diary is also full with exciting in-house events, birthday parties, balls, and taster evenings. "Our Burns Evening in January was a real success, so much so that we are looking to re-run this in 2019. The Alfresco Cinema night on 8 June 2018 is already proving to be really popular and we are confident that the launch of our own in-house Gin Club will go down a storm. “People have always said that Grittleton House is one of the ‘best kept secrets’ in the Cotswolds, but word is quickly getting out! We are definitely noticing that more and more brides and grooms are coming from further afield. Several of our bridal parties come from London and the home counties and some even from overseas.” “We love sharing our home, we want everyone to enjoy its uniqueness as much as we do. Our promise is that we offer a special place for a select few." Grittleton House is currently offering a 'Book and Marry' offer which means that couples who book and marry within six months will get a £1000 discount plus a glass of Prosecco for each day guest (over 18s). Grittleton House also offers their ‘Baronet Package’, providing exclusive access to the venue for the whole weekend to celebrate your nuptials in a truly aristocratic manner.
