Family run local brewer, Arkell's, is gearing up for an unprecedented milestone celebration – its 180th Birthday Bash.

Today will see an unforgettable day filled with music, and entertainment, right at the heart of the very community where it all began in 1843.  Arkell's Brewery's 180th Birthday Bash promises to be an epic day of celebration, where history meets the present, and friends and families can unite in the spirit of fun and community within the brewery grounds in Stratton St Margaret, Swindon.

The event will run from 1pm – 7pm.

The stage is set to come alive with the sensational sounds of many local bands including Mean as Custard and Locarno Beat.  As the music fills the air, take your pick from eight of Arkell’s finest brews, featuring well known cask beers like 3B and Wiltshire Gold along with keg favourites, Malthouse Craft Lager and Voyager American Pale Ale.  Enjoy the melodies with a refreshing beer in hand, or opt for wine and Tom Savano handcrafted cocktails.

For just £5 per ticket, you gain access to the incredible entertainment, complete with a commemorative pint cup.  This cup can be filled with your favourite beer by presenting a beer token (available at £2 per half pint).  When you are ready to savour some delicious food, there is a variety of options to choose from, including Bratwurst sausages, Greek selection, Pizzas, and local Organic Farmer, Helen Browning’s pork.

This celebration isn't just limited to adults. Families are welcome to enjoy a day packed with activities. Kids can enjoy face painting, exciting rides, and indulge in Swindon's famous Ray's ice cream (charges apply).  There's also a children's party with prizes up for grabs!

Alex Arkell, sixth generation family member, and Head Brewer shared his enthusiasm stating “The local community and their support are the reason that the brewery has reached this milestone birthday. We invite the local community and Arkell’s supporters to join us at our historic brewery and have a celebration with us.  We want to have a party; and with live music, scrumptious food and drink, and pub games, we anticipate a day of family and friends enjoying themselves.”  Alex will be holding ‘meet the brewer’ sessions during the day.

In keeping with their commitment to giving back to the community, this event proudly supports Prospect Hospice.  Prospect Hospice is a prominent provider of end-of-life care in Swindon, Marlborough, and North Wiltshire. Their compassionate team is dedicated to supporting patients and their families through difficult times, ensuring the highest quality of care and comfort. Participating in this event, not only guarantees a fantastic time but also helps support an invaluable local charity.
