The National Arboretum at Westonbirt will host a new festive light experience later this year.

Visitors to the Tetbury attraction will be able to discover luminous birds delicately suspended in the air, colourful neon trees, glowing stars, a sparkling tunnel of light and the forest filled with all the colours of the rainbow.

Forestry England has teamed up with the award-winning, internationally acclaimed light trail producers behind Christmas at Kew and Christmas at Blenheim to host a never-before-seen experience for all the family from Friday, 29 November to Tuesday 31 December

Matthew Findlay, Sony Music’s Head of UK Trails, said: “We’re thrilled and hugely excited to be collaborating with Forestry England to produce a spectacular new festive trail which will be an unforgettable addition to the Christmas calendar.

“Quite literally it will show the arboretum at Westonbirt in a new light and visitors can expect a collection of beautifully designed illuminations, choreographed to seasonal sounds which will fill the evening air.”

Visitors will be invited to wander around the trail, warm up with a hot drink or tasty snack from one of the hand-picked street food vendors and stroll through the Christmas Village to see the tempting treats and gifts on offer.

Zoe Tyler, Events Manager at Westonbirt, said: “We are looking forward to working with Sony Music, which has given us a great opportunity to host a spectacular light experience, making the most of our unique collection of stunning trees.

"We are excited to see the amazing new installations and believe all our visitors will enjoy Christmas at Westonbirt, over 23 nights this winter.

"Your very merriest Christmas starts here so book your tickets and who knows, you may get a magical glimpse of Father Christmas."

Full details can be found at  www.christmasatwestonbirt.co.uk and early booking is recommended as capacity is limited.
