TAYLOR JONES' DIARY OF A POPSTAR: Tipped to be the next Justin Bieber

Opinion and Features
FIRST of all, I need to say a huge thank you to those who voted me Personality Of The Year 2014 in Belgium’s biggest teen magazine Joepie! What an honour.

Over the last three weeks I spent a lot of time back in Swindon, and caught up with family and friends over Christmas. I also turned 21, which I guess is quite a milestone (hurray, happy birthday to me).
I am no longer a teenager, but a man, so to speak. Not sure I’m quite ready for that commitment, but here I am, haha!
By the way, thank you for all of my fanmail over Christmas and for my birthday. I received some really nice gifts from the Teejayers for my 21st and it was really nice to come back to.

TKJBeing in Swindon was a nice time for me to reflect on the past year and some of the things I’ve accomplished, could improve on, people I’ve met and the way my life was panning out as a young adult. 2015 is a year in which I’m really slamming down the gas pedal and going for it.

2015 introduced itself with a great article from NOW Magazine, as I am one of their “Hot New Faces Of 2015” and tipped as the new Justin Bieber.
My parents of course were super excited to read the article, and made me buy it in a shop - only opened to the page of the article, with a very large picture of my face on display.
The lady at the counter didn’t even notice the joke until my Auntie awkwardly asked her for a pen so that I could sign it! Embarrassing or what?! However, a big thanks to NOW Mag for the wicked start to my year.

Later the same day we had an email from BBC Bristol who are adding Emergency to their playlist alongside BBC Wiltshire, which is good news again.

For my UK fans, and anyone who doesn’t know me of course, Emergency is now being broadcast by Planet Pop TV (Sky channel 370). Planet Pop is a UK music channel and a good one at that. They’ve been really getting behind the single and I’m gaining fans by the day. So, if you want to see my new video on British TV, switch to 370 on Sky now.

This week my manager drove to Swindon to pick up my recording studio. I’m moving over to Belgium for a short period this year and so this week I’m moving, unpacking boxes and will be building my recording studio near my manager’s place close to Brussels.
This way I can still write music whilst I’m abroad. Not sure if you saw the news, but there was a fire in the Eurotunnel, cancelling our Saturday journey. We re-booked the ticket for Sunday and arrived to a very unpleasant five-hour delay at the terminal in Folkstone. Got to the hotel in Belgium around 3am after a six-hour drive, so I’m a little tired.

Some of my fans may be wondering what’s coming up in 2015? I will be shooting a music video to my new single Young Forever (which I really hope you like) and will be arranging shows in England, as well as in Belgium and Holland.

This is just a quick update on the start of the 2015 and make sure to keep an eye out for the next article, in which I’ll get back to my daily diary.

Speak soon guys. Have a great week.
