An 18-year-old male driver has died following a road traffic collision on the M4 in the early hours of this morning (07/04).

Officers were called to the single vehicle collision at approximately 1.30am.

The BMW was travelling westbound when it collided with a crash barrier on the central reservation between Membury Services and Junction 15.

A 19-year-old female passenger was taken to the Great Western Hospital with minor injuries.

Both west and eastbound carriageways were closed while officers carried out their investigations - however eastbound has just been reopened and westbound is expected to be open in the next half an hour.
