The victim, who is in her 30s, was left very frightened and upset by the racially aggravated abuse she suffered in the Stratford Close area.

The man involved, who was not known to her, approached at about 7pm on Thursday 25 June.

A police spokesperson said: "We believe there was a man in a parked car nearby at the time of the incident who may have heard the incident and we are keen to speak to him."

The verbal attack came days before a man and his daughter were subjected to racist comments by a man while shopping at Food Warehouse by Iceland.

It happened on Sunday at about 11.50am.
