Celebrity Line Up for Blenheim Palace Classic & Supercar

TV presenter and keen racing driver Jodie Kidd will be among the celebrities and VIPs taking part in this year’s Blenheim Palace Classic & Supercar on Sunday 2nd September, 2018.

Returning for its second year this exciting family-friendly event showcases more than 1,000 of the world’s greatest classic and supercars in the stunning surroundings of the Oxfordshire Palace and its spectacular grounds and gardens.

 

Jodie will be joined on the Sunday by Nicki Shields, host, presenter and pit-lane reporter for the FIA Formula E Championship, Marek Reichman, Executive Vice President & Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd, Steve Cropley, Editor in Chief at Autocar, and Daily Mail Motorin Editor Ray Massey.

 

This year’s event will also be celebrating 70 years of Porsche sports cars. Purely Porsche will feature nearly 400 cars from the iconic manufacturers rich motoring history. Designed by enthusiasts for enthusiasts all models will be represented set against the spectacular backdrop of the Oxfordshire UNESCO World Heritage Site.

 

Porsche Owners taking part in the event have been given special permission by the Duke of Marlborough to enter the Palace grounds via a special entrance that leads along a beautifully tree-lined avenue before winding around ‘Capability’ Brown’s lake and over the famous Vanbrugh bridge.

 

Purely Porsche is part of a series of spectacular events and displays taking place on the day.

 

The Pirelli Prestige & Performance Competition will be the main focus of the day, featuring 80 sensational super and hypercars built from 1978 to the current day, hosted by prestigious Italian tyre manufacturer Pirelli within the Palace’s Great Court.

 

With eight pre-selected classes including Evolution of the Supercar, Open Top Porsche 911s,

Super V8s, Hypercars, Lamborghini V12s, Targas, 200mph Club and Pre-Millennial Ferrari’s,

visitors will love the exciting competition culminating in the Winner’s Parade later in the afternoon.

 

A wide selection of food and refreshments will be available from Blenheim Palace’s eateries throughout the day.

 

Pirelli, main sponsors of the event, will also be showing the F1 Monza Grand Prix live in the Palace’s iconic Great Court.
