Witness appeal following assault in Swindon centre

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on Fleming Way, Swindon.

Between midnight and 4am on Saturday 21 July an altercation took place between a woman and a man close to Fleet Street on Fleming Way where the woman was assaulted causing bruising to her face and head. 

Det Con Jake Tuck said:  "We'd like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard this incident or anything suspicious in this area in the early hours of this Saturday morning.  
"We believe someone may have filmed the assault on their mobile phone and this could be helpful to the case - if that was you please come forward."

A 35-year-old man from Swindon was arrested in relation to the assault and has been released on conditional bail while our enquiries continue.
