Eastcott Community Organisation, the group of volunteers managing Savernake Street Social Hall, are celebrating this month, after being awarded a grant from the Wiltshire Community Foundation.

The grant, of £5,000 a year for 2 years, will help towards the community group’s running costs - to strengthen capacity to organise and promote activity at Savernake Street Social Hall, and to explore what else the community would like to see.
Caroline Davies-Khan, Chair of Eastcott Community Organisation is delighted with the award and says ‘’This is a huge boost for us, and we are very grateful to the Wiltshire Community Foundation for supporting what we do. ''
The Wiltshire Community Foundation runs several grants programmes and tells us :
‘’The Wiltshire Community Foundation Main Grant Programme supports projects which will make a sustained impact to people's lives in Wiltshire and Swindon. By supporting projects like this one, the Foundation recognises the great work that community groups do, and helps their activities to be accessible to residents regardless of their financial situation. Organisations can receive up to £5,000 a year and funding up to £15,000 for 3 years is also available.’’
