Coca-Cola has today announced the highly anticipated dates for the Christmas Truck Tour 2018 - but Swindon is once again not one of the stops.

For some people the Christmas count down begins in December, but for many it kicks off when Coca-Cola's 'Holidays are Coming' TV advert airs across the channels and the brand's Christmas truck heads out on tour across the UK.

Now in its eighth year Coca-Cola's Christmas Truck will tour to 24 locations starting in Glasgow Friday 9 November and end in London Sunday 16 November. For the second year in a row, however, Swindon will not be one of the stops.

The Christmas Truck last visited Swindon in 2016 at North Swindon's Orbital Centre. A spokesperson for Coca-Cola said: "We try to cover as much of the country as we can but unfortunately we can't visit every town and city. We update the route every year, making sure we visit locations which are easily accessible from the surrounding areas.

"This year we are spending longer in each location, allowing those in nearby areas more time to travel to their nearest truck."
