Swindon is in the top 10 of the best ranked and evolving cities in the UK - According to a study by Pricewaterhousecoopers.
Technically a town, Swindon scored 7th on the highest ranked cities list - taking into account a range of social, economic and environmental factors - with the high level of employment in the town a key factor in its strong showing.
According to the report, by the highly regarded auditing firm, Swindon scored highly on employment, new businesses, skills base, average income and environmental factors.
The two best ranked cities in 2018 are Oxford and Reading, with Oxford maintaining its narrow lead at the top for the past two years.
On average UK cities have improved significantly over a ten-year period.
London scored 15th on the highest ranked cities list, with the capital held back by high housing and transport costs.
