Swindon Police are appealing for witnesses after a young cyclist was involved in an incident where a car driver failed to stop.

Between 7.30am and 7.45am yesterday (05/12), the 21-year-old woman was cycling along Kennedy Drive when a car came out of a junction quickly causing her to brake hard to avoid a collision;  as a result she fell off, hitting her face on the ground causing a fractured jaw.

The driver of the car drove off without attempting to stop.

The woman was taken to hospital where she was treated.

The car, which is described as dark in colour, drove out of Kennedy Drive and continued in the direction of Eldene Drive.
