Wiltshire Police have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with a serious assault on a man in Swindon which left him with a broken collarbone.

It happened at around 1.15am on Sunday 2 December 2018, when the victim, a man in his 50s, was walking under Transfer Bridges.

He was assaulted by two men, one of whom physically jumped on him, leaving him with a broken collarbone.

DC Catherine Price, from Swindon CID, said: "This was a serious assault which has left the victim unable to work for six weeks due to the extent of his injuries. The victim has told us that the two men apologised to him and said it was a case of mistaken identity and they had not meant to hurt him.

"However, he has been left with a substantial injury and we need to speak to the two men pictured in the CCTV footage to establish exactly what happened."

The two men, or anyone who recognises them, are asked to contact DC Price on 101, quoting crime reference 54180115232. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
