Two people have been arrested and £20,000 cash seized following a warrant by our Specialist Crime Department.

This morning, officers carried out the search warrant at an address in Chipping Sodbury.

As well as the cash, cocaine was seized with a street value of £100,000 and £30,000 worth of high-value designer clothing.

A 29-year-old man from Bristol and a 29-year-old man from Chipping Sodbury were arrested at the address on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs. They remain in custody at Gablecross for questioning.

It follows an incident in October where officers stopped a vehicle travelling into Swindon which was found with a quantity of class A drugs on board. At the time, a 26-year-old man from Chippenham and a 27-year-old man from Swindon was arrested. They were released under investigation while enquiries continue.  The warrant today was carried out as part of these enquiries.

Det Insp Mark Wilkinson said: “This was a really successful operation which has led to us seizing a substantial amount of class A drugs, preventing them from reaching the streets of Wiltshire and into the hands of vulnerable people.”
