Swindon's iconic Wyvern Theatre will be put in the spotlight as the subject of a talk hosted by Swindon Museum and Art Gallery.

Conservation architect Michael Gray will present a talk about the Wyvern Theatre, currently Swindon’s main performance venue on February 28. It was designed by the eminent architects Casson, Conder & Partners and opened to much acclaim in 1971.

In the talk, Michael will explain the political, artistic and social context in which the complex was commissioned and how the project was never fully realised.

Tickets are limited so book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Doors open at 7pm. Tickets available online and via SM&AG on 01793 466556.

Tickets: £6 Friends of SMAG, £8 non-Friends
