An open morning event at Prospect Hospice’s retail distribution centre has been postponed ahead of the possibility of bad weather this Saturday.

The event, planned to spark the interest of would-be volunteers in helping the local hospice by supporting the sorting and distribution of donated goods destined for their 17 shops across north Wiltshire, has been put off to avoid the risk of snow and icy weather forecast for the run up to the weekend.

Prospect Hospice’s volunteer recruitment officer, Graham Biggs, said: “We’ve taken the decision to minimise the safety risks that come with snow and ice.

“Volunteer recruitment is vital to the running of Prospect Hospice, and we will be rearranging the event for the near future.”

Anyone interested in volunteering for Prospect Hospice can find out more by contacting Graham on 01793 813355.
