Patients and service users of Great Western Hospital are being invited to shine a light on hospital employees who have demonstrated an outstanding level of service.

Each year Swindon's Great Western Hospital look to showcase the very best of their hospital staff by asking the public to nominate a team or individual who made a difference to their stay.

Nominations for the Patient Choice Award for Great Western Hospital's Staff Excellence Awards we be open from 4 February to 1 March. An evening cermony to reveal the award winner will take place Friday 21 June at the MECA, Swindon.

A spokesperson for GWH said: "Every year, we open up an award for public nominations. This award recognises the difference staff make to the lives of patients, service users and their families and carers.

"We are asking you to encourage your readers to nominate an individual or team who has demonstrated an outstanding level of service from a patient's perspective."
