Toothill Primary School, Shaw Ridge and Link Centre in the West Swindon landscape

Construction of West Swindon's first primary school was started in late 1977 and opened in September 1979, three years after the first residents arrived in the 'western expansion' of the town. The main photo of the foundations sees the houses at Conisborough, Toothill, and Shaw Ridge in the background, well before the leisure park was built and also Link Centre which opened in 1985, as shown in the second image.
