Weekend travel connections between Swindon and the capital have received a welcome boost, thanks to National Express.
The new 443 service is the latest addition to the UK’s largest coach operator’s national network, providing a 2 am departure from London Victoria Coach Station direct to Swindon Bus Station.
John Boughton, Commercial Director at National Express, said: “Options for late night weekend travel from London have been limited with the last train to Swindon departing before midnight.
“Our new service allows travellers to spend longer in the capital, whether it’s for work, visiting friends and family or a leisure activity; without the worry of how to get home or the added cost of an overnight stay.”
“We already operate over 135 services a day/week to and from Swindon to locations across the UK - and last year, we saw an15% increase in passengers through the town. We’re confident this will offer even more people quick, easy and affordable transport.”
Single adult fares from London Victoria to Swindon start from £5. The 443 departs at 02:00 on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, arriving in Swindon at 04:15. Passengers will benefit from a guaranteed seat, air conditioning, access to films, TV and magazines through a complimentary onboard entertainment app, as well as power sockets and free WiFi.
