Rotary Club of Thamesdown raise more than £10k for charities including Jessie May

Thanks to the efforts a local Rotary club, seven charities have been given a financial boost from a share of £12,000.

The Rotary Club of Thamesdown have presented seven charities with a share of £12,000 at a recent cheque presentation.

Last year the Rotary club's elected president, Steve Davison, chose Jessie May, the Swindon Therapy Centre for MS, Royal British Legion, the Royal Marines Association, the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund and the Royal Air Force-Air Cadets as his selected charities to fundraise for.

Since July 2018 the Rotary Club of Thamesdown have hosted fundraisers in aid of the charities including the club's annual Poppy Ball, an RAF Ball, sleigh bucket collection and a Game Show evening.
