England’s Lionesses are gearing up for tonight’s sell-out friendly against Spain at the County Ground.

The side, coached by Phil Neville, will be using the opportunity to hone their skills in preparation for this summer's 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The clash is part of the Road to France series as the squad builds momentum ahead of this summer’s tournament.

The England side last played at the county ground in 2013 when they defeated Slovenia 4-0.

Skipper Steph Houghton will miss the match because of a groin injury and goalkeeper Carly Telford has also been withdrawn from the squad after sustaining concussion in training.

The team have suffered two successive home defeats since winning the SheBelievesCup last month.

They face Denmark on 25 May and New Zealand on 1 June before their first World Cup group game against Scotland on 9 June.
