Mayor Junab Ali spent the day running a marathon around Swindon to raise cash for Swindon 105.5 (community radio), The Harbour Project (a charity supporting homeless people) and Twigs (a mental health gardening project).
Coun Ali was joined at different points along the way by members of the public.
Setting off from the Link Centre at 6am, the mayor’s route took in Westlea Primary School, the Civic offices, Commonweal School and the Nationwide Headquarters before finishing up at Broome Manor Golf Club.
