Friday (5 May) saw luminaries from the Swindon community come together to attend the launch of a new £85,000 facility at the Swindome.
The new facilities include a physiotherapy suite, a brand new gym, changing rooms and other services.
The official opening was attended by Swindon parliamentary candidates Justin Tomlinson and Robert Buckland, as well as the Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Sarah Rose Troughton, and Mike Hill, chief executive of The Hills Group who were the main contributor to this project with a £50,000 Landfill Communities Fund grant.
Aiming to tackle social, health and educational needs in the town, the Supermarine Trust hopes to expand the offering of the Swindome which already hosts a wide range of community and sporting activities.
