The Rotary Club of Swindon North will be holding a charity fund-raising event on Saturday 12 October, with all proceeds going to the Friends of the Salvation Army’s Rehabilitation Centre, Gloucester House, in Highworth.
Promising a delicious three-course meal and a night filled with dinner, music and dancing, the star attraction will be a performance by Swindon’s famous Kentwood Show Choir. Having appeared at the Royal Albert Hall and performed on Songs of Praise, the choir will be delivering songs from a vast repertoire, from blues to ballads, showstoppers to swing, classics to chart toppers.
During dinner, table magic with be conjured up by Highworth magician, John Williams, mesmerising audiences with his amazing tricks.
The Brewery Street Buskers, also from Highworth, will provide music for dancing later on. Playing blues, to jazz, through to easy listening, they are sure to keep the dance floor full until midnight.
There will also be a charity auction for a holiday in Spain and a raffle.
The fundraiser will be at Wrag Barn Golf and Country Club near Highworth on Saturday 12 October. Tickets cost just £30 and are available from Rotarian Alan Fletcher on 01793 762914. All the proceeds will go to the Friends of the Salvation Army’s Rehabilitation Centre, Gloucester House, in Highworth. The dress code is lounge suits.
