Last weekend proved to another huge turn out for the Sausage & Ale Trail, as hundreds flocked to Wood Street to grab a taste of what local businesses have to offer.
The Old Town Business Association’s annual food event returned last weekend for a day of sizzling sausages, local craft beer, samba and live music. Continually growing in popularity over the years, 2019's event looked to be quite a banger.
At this year’s festival, stall holders were encouraged to be as eco-friendly as possible. Instead of the usual plastic cups, The Tuppenny's craft beers were served in plant starch cups, which are compostable, the Royal Oak used cans and compostable straws, and all the food vendors are were encouraged to use recyclable cardboard rather than polystyrene or plastic containers.
