Staff at Swindon's National Self Build & Renovation Centre are expecting crowds in the thousands at this month's Autumn Homes Show.

The National Self Build & Renovation Show returns for a packed three days of live demonstrations, seminars and an unrivalled line up of experts on hand to share their homebuilding advice. It’s the perfect event if you are thinking about extending your home, renovating a tired property or buying a plot of land and building a brand new home.

Produced by the National Self Build & Renovation Centre (NSBRC), the UK’s award winning Self Build Visitor Centre, their Autumn Show is benefiting from the growth in popularity for self build projects – with visitor numbers on track to be higher than usual.

More than two thousand people are expected to be exploring a range of topics from planning and plot finding, to smart homes and solar panels.

Harvey Fremlin, NSBRC Managing Director, says: “We are really excited about our Autumn Show. From Local Councils promoting their ‘Right to Build’ Registers, new TV series on air such as Grand Designs and a growing desire for better built, more efficient homes, there is a real buzz around ‘Self Build’ at the moment.

"We are welcoming more people than ever who are realising there is an alternative option when it comes to choosing their home."

The NSBRC’s Autumn Show has a strong emphasis on kitchen and bathroom design with highlights including the official opening of Bathroom Village’s brand new showroom.  Their newly built display centre houses a stunning range of products and key brands including Imperial, Roman, Bayswater and many more.

Visitors can also climb on board Grohe’s Mobile Showroom. The XXL GROHE truck is packed full of innovative bathroom products to touch and test and is certain to be popular with visitors.

Over 250 exhibitors will be showcasing the very latest products and technologies, with experienced representatives on hand to demonstrate, answer questions and offer their professional advice. Guided tours of the NSBRC’s fantastic educational zones, featuring a life size 'Renovation House' and brilliant 'New Build Journey' are the perfect way to help visualise your finished project.

The visitor centre’s own team of impartial experts, along with architects, project managers, designers, planners and eco consultants, will be on hand to meet for one-on-one sessions during the show.

Show highlights include:

  • A busy programme of seminars, live demonstrations, case studies and panel debates each day
  • Guided tours of the NSBRC’s fantastic life-size educational exhibits
  • Over 250 Exhibitors
  • Self Build course taster sessions
  • Free 1:1 Expert Advice
