Organisers of the Blenheim Palace Flower Show have today confirmed dates for next year's event - which is expecting to see thousands flock to the blooming paradise.
Dates are confirmed for the eighth annual Blenheim Palace Flower Show from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 June 2020.
More than 24,000 people attended the seventh annual show, which was opened by TV presenter George Clarke who also took part in Garden Talks and Q&As during the event
Show Director, Matthew Upson, said: “We’ve had another amazing year at the Blenheim Palace Flower Show.
"The weather was glorious all weekend and we were delighted to see so many visitors leaving the show with arms, bags and even trollies full of plants, garden accessories and more. Thank you to everyone who joined us – we hope to see you all again next year.”
This year’s Flower Show had a circus theme with multi-award-winning Floral Designer and Show Manager Mig Kimpton creating a floral carousel using over 2,000 blooms as a centre piece to the event.
Mig Kimpton said: “It was as ever a great pleasure to create some new floral installations and features for this year’s Blenheim Palace Flower Show.
"We are already planning some new bigger features for next year’s show, our visitors loved what we did this year and their enthusiasm and appreciation gives us the drive to deliver a new and exciting show each year. Look forward to seeing all our visitors, guests and exhibitors next year!”
As part of the spectacular event members of the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies also created circus-inspired floral designs using a variety of cut flowers.
For the first time visitors were able to explore the new Plant a Border Competition, this was won by Urology Cancer Research and Education, designed by Emily Sharpe for Garden Stories. The Show Gardens provided planting ideas and Jamie Langlands for Jamie Langlands Garden Design took the title of Best in Show for his Show Garden.
The horticultural show featured over 300 exhibitors located around a Grand Floral Pavilion, which was situated on the South Lawn of the picturesque Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.
Visitors enjoyed Garden Talks with experts and enthusiasts, fabulous food and drink as well as an outdoor Plant Village and live entertainment throughout the weekend.
At the heart of the show the 20,000 square foot Grand Floral Pavilion featured more than 30 floral displays and a large selection of flowers and plants from the UK’s finest plantsmen. Winner of the Best in Show in the Grand Floral Pavilion was Craig House Cacti.
