a new bridal shop will be opening in Commercial Road tomorrow where every purchase will help to care for local people living with a life limiting illness.

Prospect Hospice is set to open a dedicated bridal and formal wear shop later this week thanks to generous supporters that have donated a range of wedding gowns, veils, bridesmaid’s dresses, men’s suits and accessories.

Warren Finney, director for community development at Prospect Hospice said: “The team behind the opening has worked incredibly hard to ensure we can offer our customers the best possible experience when they come in to look for their wedding dress or other formal wear.

“We’re enormously grateful to everyone that has donated items to us and the funds raised from the sale of these will go towards ensuring we can continue to provide dedicated end of life care to local people when they need us.”

The bridal shop on Commercial Road is stocked full of new dresses that have never been worn as well as many pre-loved wedding gowns. There’s also a wide range of bridesmaid’s dresses to suit all ages and sizes. Shoes, jewellery, veils and other accessories are also available ensuring that the shop provides everything needed to create a special wedding day at prices that will suit the tightest of budgets.

The shop will be officially opened on Thursday 21 November by David Barrand, chair of Prospect Hospice, alongside the team who helped bring it all together. Following this, the shop will be open by appointment only to ensure customers receive the unique, individual experience they would expect from any other bridal and formal wear store.
