A Swindon man who dealt drugs to undercover police officers has been jailed for three years.

Sheldon Thomas, from Rosebery Street, pleaded guilty to six counts of supplying Class A drugs at a number of locations around Swindon.

The 38-year-old was caught dealing heroin and crack cocaine in Edinburgh Street, the Brunel North car park, East Street and Faringdon Park between June and July 2019.

He was sentenced yesterday (09/01) at Swindon Crown Court.

Det Sgt Georgina Green from the Dedicated Crime Team said: "This is a good result after months of covert work by officers.
"Our message is: we will not tolerate drug dealing in Wiltshire.
"If you deal drugs then you should be prepared to be convicted at court and receive a lengthy prison sentence.
"Drug dealing devastates the lives of drug users, their families and has a negative impact on the community; with anti-social behaviour and a rise in acquisitive and violent crime.
"We take reports of drug dealing seriously and rely on the public to be vigilant in reporting this."

If you witness suspected drug dealing call us on 999 immediately or 101 if the offence has passed.  You can also report it anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
