From 13 November to 17 November the A3012 will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am, due to ongoing works by the contractor Hochtief at the junction 16 roundabout.
The road closure will be from Junction 16 roundabout to the roundabout for Interface and Woodshaw at RWB.
Attached is an image of the diversion route during this period, primarily for the through traffic and heavy goods vehicles (HGV).
Cllr Jacqui Lay, for Purton and Braydon, said: "Access to all residential and business properties within the closure will be maintained, although this might not necessarily be via the normal route – so if visiting best to check which way to go in.
"I suspect those from Purton will be using the normal routes to Swindon and the M4 junction 15 via Cricklade or Tadpole Lane on the A419.
"Hochtief do have contingency dates for the following week, 20 November to 24 November, in case they encounter any problems which cause delay."
