Appeal following collision on the A419

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision on the A419, Saturday 16 September.

The incident took place shortly after 7.20pm just outside Blunsdon in the Cirencester direction.

A car collided with a recovery van causing it to then collide with another car.

As a result of the collision, a 7-year-old child was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with head injuries and two adults were taken to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.

The adults suffered minor injuries and the child has not thought to have suffered serious injuries.

Following the collision, the A419 was closed for approximately three hours while officers conducted their enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information regarding it, is asked to call Wiltshire Police on 101 quoting log number 300.
