                                                       Euro success
                                                 A project to help early years language skills,
                                                 developed with the help of parents at Westlea
                                                 School is being considered for an international
                                                 award at the end of November.
                                                   Thought up by former Westlea headteacher
                                                 Neil Griffiths, Storysacks has been nominated
                                                 to receive a prestigious prize for cross cultural
                                                 innovation in education. The sacks received
                                                 Royal recognition when Princess Anne visited
                                                 Westlea to meet Storysack organisers from
                                                 around Britain. Story on page 2.
