Coach Wendy Payne quoted “These young ladies are a credit to the town, not only do they work incredibly hard during their 10 hours of weekly training, but they also prioritise and manage their very important schooling/exams.
Their next competition isn’t until April 2018 so we will be focusing on learning some new skills on each piece of apparatus.

Swindon’s Under 13 Senior Squad took to the arena in the afternoon, they were against Clubs from Dorset, Frome, Chippenham and Wales. Tegan Seed led the team around the Beam Floor Vault and Bars where also the top 4 marks from the team of 6 counted.

They started on the balance beam and unfortunately the nerves showed as they all fell off but Shannon Reynolds still managed over 10 marks and top spot.
Floor was a different story with lots of new tumbles, leaps and smiles were back gaining them better marks with Tegan getting the highest score of 10.95.

They then took to the 1.25cm Vaulting Platform and all flew over impressively with Shannon and Amelia competing a new skill for the very first time and Shannon again was credited the highest score of 11.50.

They finished the competition on the A Bars and were all very much the same with Tegan slightly edging it.

They finished a creditable 5th place on the day and moved up to 4th in the league.
