Burglars stole television and sentimental jewellery from elderly person's home

Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglars stole a television and sentimental jewellery from an elderly person's home.

A window at the back of the house, in South Marston, near Swindon, was forced open and a search of the property, which was unoccupied at the time, was made.

The homeowner's 42'' Samsung television was taken, along with a diamond engagement ring and a distinctive Rover watch which had been engraved and given to them to celebrate 25 years at the car firm.

Were you in the area of the main route through South Marston on 17 February, between 12pm and 8.30pm, and saw anything unusual? Maybe you have a dashcam that might have recorded something significant? Please contact us if you do.
