Emma Carter, a former director at communications company Excalibur, has been appointed as the new managing director of ambitious digital marketing agency Smarter Media.

Emma (40) has taken on the role to support Smarter Media as it grows its business working with clients to drive visibility and sales through intelligent online marketing.

She said: “I am so excited to be joining the team at Smarter Media. As demonstrated over the last few years, Smarter is an ambitious, fast growing business and I intend to continue this growth, with improved support and enhanced solutions, whilst delivering the superb service Smarter is known for.

“Covid-19 has forced many businesses to adjust to the changing demands of their customers and reflect how an online presence is no longer a ‘nice to have’ it’s a ‘must have’. We are ready to support those businesses which wish to step into the future when it comes to marketing their products and services.”

Smarter Media, is a specialist SEO & Pay Per Lead digital marketing agency and based in Gypsy Lane, Swindon, with founder Karl Paul now taking the role of Chairman.

He said: “It has always been my plan to step into a Chairman role for Smarter Media when the time was right to do so and pass on the baton to a skilled and committed MD. This allows me to implement our hugely ambitious plans and to deliver excellence

“With Emma at the helm we can really move forward and we’re proud to be able to do this during such a difficult year for business. Greater growth often comes when a founder recognises the right time to hand over responsibilities to a very skilled and committed individual – now allowing me to devote the necessary time and energy to implementing strategic growth.”

This announcement is part of the company’s growth plan and comes just a few months after the launch of Smarter’s new Pay Per Lead service, as well as the introduction of new software allowing the agency to reverse engineer the digital strategies of their client’s competitors, giving them a data-backed advantage to excel themselves.

Karl said: “Emma brings years of experience in offering cost effective services to local businesses. She will be working with our fantastic team to develop our products and solutions to offer improved support, more effective campaigns and even better results.”

Smarter Media offers services including SEO-led digital marketing, big volume lead generation on a Pay Per Lead basis, social media marketing and paid media. The team currently work with companies large and small throughout the UK including Amaroc, Kinaxia Logistics, Excalibur  and Moovahome.

Their approach is understanding what a client’s competitors are doing, reverse engineering their digital strategy, as well as gaining a deep understanding of a client’s business. With this information they create a strategy that helps a business grow effectively. For more information visit www.smarter-media.co.uk
