In preparation for its June reopening Janet's Puppy School has been getting training to make sure that everything is public health compliant during the coronavirus pandemic.

Janet Garrett, who runs the school, said: "In preparation of re-opening in June, I have actually been on an industry specific course COVID-19 Risk Assessment and Risk Management Certificate for Trainers and Behaviourists and passed with a mark of 100%.

"Safety is our top priority. There are so many puppies in this area who missed out on classes at the end of March who are growing up without the good training to make them well rounded and well mannered little individuals and owners who are pulling their hair out and need help.

"We’re all outdoors here and have lots of measures ready to put in place for when we decide it’s safe."
