The new specialist four-man team, operating across the UK, offers a free tailor-made 360-degree eMobility consulting service.

The aim is to help customers plan their transformation to zero emissions, advising on everything from an initial conversation through to a fully customised consultation, including fleet analysis and charging infrastructure options and solutions.

The MAN Truck & Bus UK eMobility-consulting team, consisting of Roger Turnbull (UK Head of EV Truck Consultation & Sales), Yadash Suresh (EV Consultant), David Watts (EV Consultant) and Andrew Hartley (EV Consultant), joins a 100-strong team of MAN Truck & Bus eMobility experts spread throughout Europe.

Mr Turnbull said: “As a commercial vehicle manufacturer, we see ourselves as having a special responsibility to do all we can to contribute to climate protection, so when it comes to zero-emission technologies, we have a clear focus on electromobility.

“Our battery electric range of eTrucks, including eTGX, eTGS and eTGL models, are industry-leading in terms of both design and what they can offer the customer, and to ensure a smooth transition from fossil fuels to battery electric vehicles our specialist eMobility eConsultants are here to advise and answer any and all questions.

“As a team, our primary function is to sit with customers and businesses and help them navigate a way forward as they switch their fleets to electric vehicles and, in line with our business motto, help them to simplify their businesses.”

The new four-man team lives and breathes sustainability. With a combined 60 years of commercial vehicle background, their ability to help and advise customers on an ideal electric vehicle and charging infrastructure fit is second to none.

Tracey Perry, MAN Truck & Bus UK Ltd  Sales Director Truck, Bus & Coach, said: “As we start our journey to battery electric vehicles it’s vital that we offer our customers as much help, guidance and advice as we can.

"As the road transport industry transitions to a greener and more sustainable decarbonised future, with our 360 degree partnering approach and specialist eMobility eConsulting team, we will be able to support our customers to be better informed as to what vehicles, charging services and technologies will best suit their individual needs.”

“The transition to eMobility is not without its challenges, but it’s also an incredibly exciting time as the future is ours to shape.

"When we look to the future our partnering approach will ensure we develop a tailored solution to suit the individuals and in doing so make our customers' journeys as simple, plannable and successful as possible.”

MAN Truck & Bus UK first launched the eTGX tractor on British soil in June, at the 2024 RTX Show, and this was followed by a customer ride-and-drive event at Horiba MIRA in mid-June, where over 100 customers took the opportunity to both drive the vehicle and sit through several classroom-based product information seminars.

This highly focussed eTruck event helped customers further understand the leading-edge technologies on offer and discuss how MAN eTrucks can be matched to suit their individual applications.

Mr Turnbull said: “When we look at Electric vehicles, BEVs, we need to understand that this is the biggest change to occur in the road transport industry since the birth of the diesel engine and there is no one-size-fits-all solution.

"This is why our 360-degree eMobility consulting service looks at numerous tailored topics, covering fleet conversion, charging and energy concepts including charging infrastructure, vehicle range requirements and consumption, cost optimisation, financing options, training and network analysis.

"As you can understand, when you start to look at the aforementioned  topics individually, and in greater detail, it can be seen as complex, but it’s our job as a team to work with our customers to ensure we help simplify both the information and their transition to towards operating a zero emission fleet.”

All MAN vehicles are supported by MAN Truck & Bus UK's Nationwide Commercial Vehicle Dealer network, with many operating extended hours, including round-the-clock servicing and customer-tailored solution maintenance.

The entire MAN range benefits from MAN's Mobile24 24-hour assistance service, which guarantees customers a professional roadside partner throughout Europe 365 days of the year.
