A housebuilder has launched a scheme to support community initiatives in Swindon.
Redrow South West, which is currently building at Badbury Park in the town, has created the £10,000 community fund to support as many local groups, organisations and charities as possible, and is now welcoming applications.
The housebuilder aims to support communities to thrive, so whether funds are required for books to encourage local pupils to get reading, a grassroots football team in need of a new kit, or a community group in need of supplies, Redrow South West says its initiative can help.
The Community Fund, which is launching in this format for the first time, aims to help local organisations with specific donations and give them the tools they need to continue to flourish.
Sian Smith, Sales Director for Redrow South West, said: “We’re always looking for ways we can help to create and support thriving communities in the local area and, through our newly created fund, we’re hoping to support more groups and initiatives than ever before.
“We’d like to invite volunteers at local charities or community groups to share their story with us and tell us how we can support them to continue to do the thing they do best – supporting their community.
“We’re looking forward to hearing how we can help people in Swindon and the surrounding areas.”
The fund will close at 11:59pm on 2 October.
