The Amazon fulfilment centre in Swindon recently marked its first year in Swindon by hosting a range of fun activities for employees.

The Swindon team took part in activities at the fulfilment centre in the run up to the site’s anniversary.

This included games, giveaways and fancy dress. The series of events was brought to a close with a fireworks display held at the site.

David Tindal, General Manager at Amazon in Swindon, said: “We’ve had a great first year here in Swindon and we wanted to do something special to say thank you to our team for all their efforts since we arrived in the town. We all enjoyed getting together to celebrate the year’s successes.”

Sebastian Rotaru, who works at the Amazon fulfilment centre in Swindon, added: “Our first year in Swindon has been great, and it has been nice to get involved with the community on many occasions, too. The fireworks display was a brilliant way to celebrate the occasion.”

Since opening its doors in 2021, the Amazon fulfilment centre in Swindon is said to have made donations totalling £34,000 to charities across Swindon, including IPSUM, Akt, and Samaritans.

The donations were made as part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities in and around its operating locations across the UK.
