Taylor Wimpey is inviting residents around Swindon and South Marston to see plans for the first phase of new homes at The Woodlands during a public exhibition this month.
The Woodlands is allocated as part of the approved 2015 Swindon Local Plan, and will form one of the largest new communities in the region.
It will consist of 8,000 homes, new schools, employment spaces as well community and leisure facilities.
Outline planning permission for the first phase of 2,380 homes was granted by Swindon Borough Council in August 2021, and Taylor Wimpey says it is working as part of a consortium to deliver the development and associated infrastructure.
Taylor Wimpey will hold a public consultation and exhibition for the first phase of 134 new homes, to be known as Skylark at The Woodlands, from 3pm - 7pm on Friday, 14 October at South Marston Village Hall.
The first phase will include 31 affordable homes.
John Gantlett, Land Director for Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire, said: “The Woodlands is a significant development for the local area that has been in the planning stages for some time, and we are delighted to be able to show our detailed designs for the first phase of new homes.
“The Woodlands will be the first of a series of phases that will bring much-needed high quality, energy efficient homes to the local market. We are excited to hear people’s views on our first phase as we develop our proposals.”
