Volunteers are needed to help and advise people struggling with the spiralling cost of living and other issues.
Citizens Advice Swindon welcomes enquiries from people who can commit at least six hours of their time per week.
Jan Black, one of the current team of volunteers, said: “I’ve been a volunteer for four years now and it’s so rewarding that I wish I would have done it earlier in life.
“The people that use the service have such different needs and require help and support whether emotionally or financially, and are very grateful for the help provided.
“I had the pleasure of working with a family of five with young children in Swindon over a number of months, who were over crowded in a private rented one bedroom flat.
"We worked together to assist them in finding alternative accommodation. Benefit checks were carried out and found they were missing out on benefits. They are now in a much more suitable home and the family is now doing well.”
