Awdry Law has announced the resounding success of its biannual Charity Golf Day held at Bowood’s PGA course.

The company, which has branches in Swindon, Royal Wootton Bassett and elsewhere in Wiltshire, revealed that the event raised more than £10,000 for the Julia's House Children's Hospice charity.

The event brought together over 88 guests from a wide range of leading businesses in the region, in a united effort to support the charity, and raised a total of £10,677 to support children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

The day featured a golf simulator, pro-clinic driving range and an 18-hole round with on-course competitions, and guests enjoyed a beautiful day networking, sharing stories, and celebrating a shared mission. Golf was followed by an evening meal, and highlights included a charity auction matched by Bellamy Wealth Management and a heartfelt speech from charity representative Jo Common.

Tim Hotchkiss, the Partner who oversaw the organisation of the day: said “What an incredible day we all had. The total amount raised has exceeded all our expectations and raised an impressive amount of money for a charity close to our hearts.

"There was a real spirit of camaraderie and community, and we are so proud that the day emphasised the importance of coming together for a common cause. The funds raised will help Julia’s House continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families facing critical challenges.

"This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of the Awdry Law volunteers and the generosity of our guests and sponsors, as well as Bowood who pulled out all the stops to guarantee an exceptional golfing experience and ensure that we raised vital funds.”

Jo common said: “Wow - this is just incredible! Over £10,000 will make such an enormous difference in helping us provide a lifeline of care for the seriously ill children and their families who rely on us for support.

"Thank you to the whole team at Awdry Law for your ongoing support for our cause, we couldn’t achieve what we do without support like yours.

"Thank you also to all those who attended on the day, made donations, bought auction prizes and showed tremendous generosity to the charity. We couldn’t be more grateful.”

Awdry Law regularly support Julia’s House, with the most recent challenge being a 100km walk which a team of their employees took part in earlier this summer.
