The British Heart foundation has announced a trio of energetic fundraising events ahead of the easing of lockdown.

A spokesperson for the charity said: "The end of lockdown road map is here, and as we edge ever closer to freedom the British Heart Foundation (BHF) is on hand to help you make the most of summer 2021!

"Grab your friends and family and make up for lost time by creating new memories putting your lockdown hobbies to the test or taking on a new fitness challenge."

Your support has never been more vital to ensure the charity can continue its life saving research.

Due to the impact of covid-19 on fundraising, the BHF has cut its funding for new research in half. So choose your challenge and help the BHF support the 7.6 million people in the UK living with heart and circulatory diseases.?

They are:

- A 1.4 mile swim from Bournemouth Pier to Boscombe Pier on Saturday and Sunday, 3 and 4 July. Details can be found at  www.bhf.org.uk/p2p
- A Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge onSaturday, 17 July. Details can be found at www.bhf.org.uk/y3p
