A grand Masquerade Ball in aid of The Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust will be held on Friday, 4 November at Blunsdon House Hotel.
Tickets for the ball, which will run from 6.30pm until late, will be available until 21 October.
The idea came about through the support given by the trust to a Cricklade woman who was diagnosed with a very rare form of the condition in 2016.
After years of constantly battling with her health, Tina Gee was prescribed constant oxygen in 2021 and told later that year by her consultant that she would be unlikely to see out the next year.
Her daughter, Georgina, said: "My mum is determined to enjoy what time she has left by holidaying by the sea as much as she can.
"The Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust has wonderfully supported her in this with access to their caravan in Great Yarmouth. They’ve also provided her with a brand new electric scooter to enable her enjoy everyday things such as shopping, days out and walking the dog."
Tickets for the ball are available from Georgina on 07990 075144 or at firstname.lastname@example.org, priced £45 per person. They include a three-course meal, live music from Chloe Marie, a disco, a photographer in attendance and a raffle with what the organisers promise will be amazing prizes.
The dress code is tuxedos and elegant ladies' wear, with masks an absolute must!
The event is sponsored by Pulmonary Fibrosis, (registered charity number 1140901), Curtis Entertainment, A & G Escrow Tapes and Crombey Street Motors.
