GWH thank generous motorcycle club

The Great Western Hospital have said a heartfelt thank-you to The Pinkertons Club after they delivered presents to sick children.

The event was the 33rd Annual Pinkertons MCC Toy Run to the Children’s Ward in Swindon.

The club raised a grand total of £7,009.81 through their fundraising efforts.

A spokesperson for The Great Western Hospital’s NHS Trust said: “A huge thank you to Pinkertons Club who came in their hundreds over the weekend to deliver presents to some of our youngest patients by way of motorbike.

“Over 200 bikes made their way across Swindon before arriving at Great Western, where they met with staff to bring the magic of Christmas to those spending time in hospital over the festive period.”

A spokesperson for Brighter Futures GWH, said: “A huge thank you to Pinkertons Club for their annual visit to Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for their Toy Run.

“Every year they raise money to support the youngest of patients in hospital over Christmas and purchase some amazing gifts. Their visit each year is the highlight of our year!”
