Macmillan CancerSupport’s iconic Coffee Morning event will return on 24 September.
The charity, which helps cancer patients and their loved ones, promises it will be bigger and better than ever.
According to Macmillan, the smallest gesture really can make the biggest difference to those affected, and every year Macmillan supporters up and down the country help raise millions of pounds just by taking part in Coffee Morning.
Macmillan Fundraising Manager Jemma Luker said: “The countdown to Coffee Morning is officially on, and it’s always so fantastic to see so many people get involved as every penny makes a huge difference to those affected by cancer.
“Every single Coffee Morning hosted or attended enables Macmillan to support more and more people living with cancer and their families.”
This year’s Macmillan Coffee Morning will ‘officially’ take place on Friday 24 September, but people can get involved whenever and wherever they can.
The charity says every penny raised at a Coffee Morning is cherished and appreciated. A donation of £17, for example, could help a member of the Cancer Information and Support team on the Macmillan Support Line deal with a call or web enquiry, while £350 could pay for a Macmillan Grant, a one-off payment which helps with the extra costs living with cancer can bring.
