A community singing charity founded by an acclaimed Swindonian choir leader has announced a CD release.

Golden-Oldies, often known simply as Goldies, combats isolation among older people by offering singing sessions in church halls, community rooms and libraries.
The charity, founded by Grenville Jones, was forced by the pandemic in 2020 to cancel its in-person Sing & Smile sessions, only to take them online.
‘Sofa-singing’ introduced Wales-based Goldies session leader Cheryl Davies to a weekly audience of older people across the UK.
A five-track CD of favourite songs from those sessions will be given to everybody who has now returned to attending live singalongs.
Grenville Jones said: "Such was the popularity of Cheryl’s singing that the charity have produced a CD of her performing some of the popular melodies which are such a hit with our older folk.
"Cheryl leads the Charity’s work in Wales, taking sessions. However, through the CD, folk can enjoy her singing at home as well! She has a great voice and on the CD she is ‘double-tracked', so it’s a Cheryl duet!”
The CD's tracks are You're My World, Over the Rainbow, Sailor, I Can See Clearly Now and Que Sera Sera.
Mr Jones added: "Loneliness and isolation are a major issue across communities and we are working hard to bring back our popular sessions in more areas in the months ahead. Everyone loves a good singalong!”
