Awdry Law Golf Day funds have been doubled during the ‘BigGive’ Campaign, raising £19,500 for local Children’s hospice, Julia’s House.

Following the success of their Charity Golf Day back in September 2024, Awdry Law have announced that the majority of the money raised on the day for Julia’s House Children’s Hospice has been doubled during the charities ‘BigGive’ Campaign. This means that the total raised is an outstanding amount of £19,550, which will support children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

Tim Hotchkiss, the Partner at Awdry Law who oversaw the organisation of the event, said: “All of us at Awdry Law are delighted that the majority of the funds we raised for Julia’s House have been successfully doubled as part of their ‘BigGive’ campaign.

“This has significantly amplified the’ generous donations made on the day and thanks to this initiative we have been able to help more individuals and families in need.

“We are so thankful to all of the 88 golfers and sponsors from various businesses across Wiltshire and beyond who participated in the day.  The final total raised has exceeded all expectations and we are absolutely delighted.”

The Big Give Christmas Challenge is the UK’s biggest match-funded campaign, giving you the opportunity to double your donation to Julia’s House this Christmas. This means twice the number of hospice care sessions, twice the benefits of the sensory room and twice the time with friends, nurses and carers.

The campaign opened at midday on Tuesday 3 December and ran until midday on Tuesday 10 December. Their aim was to raise £90,000 to help bring light and laughter to local families this Christmas. The match funding has generously been donated thanks to a mix of special Big Give funders and supporters.

Jo Common, a representative at Julia’s House, said: This is utterly incredible and wonderfully represents the commitment and love the Awdry Law team put into fundraising for Julia’s House. Thank you to everyone who helped raise this amazing total for our children and families.”
