It may only be August but the festive spirit is already in full swing at Prospect Hospice.
The charity has named the the winner of its Christmas card design competition as 10-year-old Matilda Palmer.
Matilda captured hearts and imaginations with her endearing portrayal of two reindeer in a snowy wonderland.
"We were absolutely blown away by Matilda's artwork," said Victoria Canavan, head of retail at Prospect Hospice.
"Her drawing of the reindeer captures the joy and magic of Christmas in a truly enchanting way. Her card will bring warmth and cheer to all who will see it."
Matilda's mum, Rachel, said Matilda's artistic journey began at a young age when she first picked up a crayon, and her love for drawing blossomed from there.
She added: “When her nanny, who volunteers in the Prospect Hospice charity shop in Wroughton, told her about the competition she jumped at the chance to enter.”
As the winner of the charity’s competition, Matilda received a personalised gift basket as well as five packs of her very own card to give to friends and family.
The young artist said: "Drawing makes me really happy, and I wanted to make people smile when they see my reindeer. Thank you, Prospect Hospice, for choosing my drawing."
The Christmas card featuring Matilda's enchanting reindeer scene is now available for purchase at £4 for a pack of ten, with all proceeds helping the charity provide free end of life care to local people and their families.
People can buy Matilda’s card as well as a range of Christmas cards in all Prospect Hospice charity shops or online at www.prospect-hospice.net/christmasshop
